Latham® Fiberglass Pools
Fiberglass Inground Pools
We bring Latham fiberglass inground pools to backyards across northwest Washington. A fiberglass pool goes in faster than a concrete pool and takes less upkeep once it is in.
Fiberglass Pools
Why choose a fiberglass pool?
A fiberglass pool is built in a factory and arrives in one piece, so it installs much faster than a concrete pool. The surface is smooth, which makes it easier to keep clean. The finish also resists fading, stains, and scratches.
Benefits of a Fiberglass Pool
Most people who choose fiberglass over concrete do it for these three reasons.
-
Faster to install
The shell is built in a factory and set in place in one piece. Many pools are ready to swim in within a few days of delivery. A poured concrete pool can take weeks.
-
Easier to keep clean
The surface is smooth and non-porous, so algae has much less to cling to than it does on rough plaster. Day-to-day care is lighter as a result. Latham reports that the vast majority of its fiberglass pools never need future surface work.
-
No resurfacing bills
A plaster pool has to be resurfaced from time to time, and that is a big expense. A fiberglass shell is a lifetime material and never needs it, so the cost of owning the pool stays predictable.
How Latham Fiberglass Pools Are Built
Latham is North America’s largest designer and manufacturer of inground pools. Its fiberglass pools use an advanced composite construction that resists fading, stains, and scratches.
The surface you see and touch is Crystite®, Latham’s own gel coat. It is made to hold its color and finish for years. Latham pools come in a range of shapes and sizes to fit different yards.

A pool is a much bigger project than a hot tub, and most of the work happens before the pool arrives. We help you decide where it goes, make sure there is a way to get the shell into your yard, and plan the site prep.
Then we coordinate the install, from delivery day to your first swim. We also build custom plaster inground pools when you want a shape or size that fiberglass does not come in.

Fiberglass Pool FAQ
Answers to the questions we hear most about fiberglass pools.
How long does it take to install a fiberglass pool?
Usually much less time than a concrete pool. The shell arrives finished and is set in place, so once your yard is ready, many pools are swimmable within a few days of delivery. Your full timeline depends on the site work and permits, which we plan with you up front.
Is a fiberglass pool easier to maintain than a concrete pool?
Generally, yes. The smooth surface gives algae less to grip, and it never needs the periodic resurfacing a plaster pool does. You still balance the water and run the filter, but the surface itself takes much less work.
Do you handle the site work and permits for a pool?
We plan the project with you and coordinate the installation. Permits and inspections come from your city or county, and the rules vary from place to place. We go through what yours requires as part of planning your pool.
